WHAT IS A FRIENDSHIP CENTRE?
The Maniwaki Native Friendship Centre – Gatineau Point of Service, supports Urban Indigenous people through culturally safe, holistic programs and services. We empower Indigenous individuals and families by promoting well-being, strengthening community connections, and facilitating access to health, social, and educational supports who are living in the Gatineau region.
The Centre nurtures healthy lifestyles and supports a smooth transition to urban environments. It serves as a bridge between the urban Indigenous community and local populations by promoting cultural safety, awareness, and inclusion.

Our Team
Our team provides culturally grounded, client-centred support to Indigenous individuals and families. Staff include Family Support Workers, Wellness Workers, Post-Secondary Support, Hospital Navigation, and program coordinators who work collaboratively to meet community needs.
