OUR SERVICES
Services for Urban Indigenous People
Family Support Services
Our Family Support program supports Indigenous children, youth, families, and individuals by providing culturally safe guidance, advocacy, referrals, and ongoing support tailored to each person’s unique needs.
Gatineau Hospital Navigator
Support for Indigenous patients navigating hospital and health services, including advocacy and communication support in English and French.
Jordan’s Principle Support
Guidance and assistance with the application process to ensure children receive the health and educational supports they need.
Cultural Activities
Workshops and Events that connect community members to traditional teachings, art, and land-based learning, strengthening identity and pride.
Mental Health Support & Healthy Living
Counselling, wellness workshops, fitness activities, and traditional healing sessions for all ages that promote healing and well-being in a safe space.
Education & Post-Secondary Support
One-on-one guidance, regular check-ins and visits to schools by the Gatineau Native Friendship Centre staff, activities/workshops, connecting parents and individuals to school and community resources. Tutoring, homework and peer support services and resources.
